1913 German Hanau Soldiers Bridge Construction Scene Postcard Pre WW1
This antique postcard, dated 1913, captures a detailed scene of a bridge under construction in Germany. The wooden scaffolding and framework of the bridge are prominently displayed, with the river and surrounding landscape visible in the background. The partially completed bridge, with its distinct lattice structure, reflects the industrial progress of the early 20th century.
On the reverse, the postcard features a handwritten message dated September 27, 1913, addressed to "Heinr. Bohnen" in Viersen-Eickelbusch, Germany. It bears a 5 Pfennig German stamp and is postmarked, adding to its historical significance as both a piece of communication and a document of engineering history.
Postcard Text (German):
Viele Grüße an alle!
Euer Heinrich
