Obverse: Features a portrait of Primož Trubar (1508–1586), the Protestant reformer and author of the first Slovene language printed book. A feather quill, symbolizing Trubar’s contribution to Slovenian literature, is depicted beside him. The word "Abecedarium," referring to one of his works, is prominently displayed near the top.
