This postcard showcases the beautiful Monaco Cathedral, also known as Saint Nicholas Cathedral, a prime example of Roman-Byzantine architecture completed in 1903. Serving as the final resting place of the Grimaldi family, including Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, the cathedral is a treasured historical and cultural landmark in the principality.
The reverse side features a handwritten message:
"We are enjoying our holiday but felt the 27th [to be] home to dear little Westwood. We have much enjoyed our stay... both a mild attack of influenza... I can fully recommend... will make arrangements... dear love to both... mother."
Postmarked with a stamp, this personal note captures the essence of early 20th-century correspondence and travel.
